I'm surprised that anyone finds it odd that this is found to be true. Whether you believe in religion or not, most of the stories around Jesus, Abraham, David, Mohammed, and the Saints are based in actual people and events. They may or may not be made more fantastical by those of the times, depending on your beliefs, but there is some basis of fact in them.
