Dry mouth symptoms can be side effect of certain medications for older adults. For older adults, dry mouth can be a common side effect of prescribed medications. There are many causes of dry mouth, and side effects for medicine are just one. I myself have had dry mouth to the point of being unable to open my mouth, due to environmental conditions. I do not currently nor recently take medicine for any condition or illness.
