What kind of Outer Space Technology does Australia have? If applicable, what kind of annual budget is allocated towards Outer Space Technology? Does Australia have any known astronauts?
About time! Australia’s landmass is mostly desert and would be a great location for a launching the station. The waters around them are also fairly uncluttered, which makes recovery of hopefully reusable rocket it’s easier. Let’s hope they can get something off the ground.
You are right, we should be far further ahead with our space program. We need to be up there in the international space station with the rest of them and not relying on other countries for our own space needs (Experiments), etc.
What wars in space? So far, any space-based weapons are pointed firmly downwards at the ground. Any combat in space, while theoretically possible, is economically not feasible. The cost per kilo to loft anything into orbit or further is prohibitive. At best, kamikazi satellites, or kinetic energy devices could be used against space stations and satellites. Beyond Lunar orbit, the distances make combats less than unlikely.
