World's smallest diamonds made into wires three atoms wide

Scientists have discovered a way to use diamondoids - the smallest possible bits of diamond - to assemble atoms into the thinnest possible electrical wires, just three atoms wide. Ref. Source 5o.

Wow that is one thin wire. I guess the only way to view it is under a powerful microscope. TO use them to build some much smaller processors and other powered items can make more smaller and more powerful items that may be very beneficial to us as a race. I hope they do not use it for killing other humans.

This would be very useful in the development of micromachines. A field of technology that could save the human race, or doom it.

To be ever so slightly melodramatic, that little bit of diamond wire could very well lead to both the cure for all forms of cancer among other things as well as a weapon that makes a nuclear bomb look like a child's toy.
