What is the definition of a "Platonic Relationship", could I get an example?

A platonic relationship is a close personal relationship between a man and a woman that does not include any sexual feelings. It is like having a best friend that you share everything with but that friend being a member of the opposite sex. I believe that you can have a close relationship with a member of the opposite sex and not be romantically involved. A good example is a brother and sister who are very close and share a lot with each other but do not want each other as a romantic partner. I am sure there are other examples other than this.

when you talk about a non-sexual relationship, you talk about two people who have problems.

This is not to say that a relationship can exist without sex, I just hate the idea of it being categorised. If that's what people choose to do (or not do), so be it.

It's like equating a relationship to a non-belief in any particular political or religious belief. I believe, therefore I am, and you are not, so screw you.

Which is a very base way of saying that people delude themselves by wanting to be the ultimate partner to someone they love. If you have to become someone other than what you aren't, get a new partner.

I don't excuse my bluntness on this subject, because I firmly believe that attraction is decided by sexual compatibility. He likes she and vice versa. Babies are born from this premise, and the survival of the species is guaranteed.

So your saying that is someone is in a relationship with a member of the opposite sex then they should be copulating to preserve the species. If they are not copulating then they need to move on and find some to be with where they can produce babies?

I think that is a wrong way to look at it. I believe there is nothing wrong with having a member of the opposite sex as a friend in which you do not need to try to get in bed with. I find it refreshing to be able to talk to the opposite sex without them thinking I just want to get laid.

A platonic relation is non sexual regardless of sexual orientation. I have platonic relations with men and women.

So if this definition that Klar gave is bullocks please feel free to post your definition of the word Platonic then.

If you wish to debate whether a platonic relationship is good or bad or even a word that should be used start a thread on that in the correct area and I will be glad to hash over on it as I am sure many others would as well. I think it is a great topic!
