Yes, there are countries out there that still have laws that come from medieval times… and they are dictated by man's imperfect understanding of the various holy books. To do this to someone because of his or her sexual orientation is barbaric.

Yes, you are correct. A lot of Indonesia's laws are based on Sharia. Sharia is unflinching in its punishment to what it considers deviant life styles.
