In our modern day period what's the best self-defense weapon available for both war and civilian life?

Really depends on your situation. A small hand gun is good stuff to pack but if that's too much peppr spray can help you get away. I don't recommend knives unless you're in the jungle. Knives have away of making the enemy more eager to put you down faster or even use it against you.

Best Self Defense Weapon History & Civil Business Politics
The best defense weapon you have is always with you. It is the grey matter between your ears. Use it to understand the area you are in and know what is going on around you. If you keep yourself away from trouble you have a good chance of not having trouble visit you. Plus when it does come around you you will be more ready for it.
