CBC News has learned that the owners of Sunrise Propane Industrial Gas had filed an application to build a propane storage tank seven times larger than those already in use at the site.

Unless remote I think large storage tanks are just a bad idea. Why build a bomb in the center of a residential or commercial area.
I was trained for delivery of dangerous goods and was able to witness first hand how much destruction even a simple bbq tank can do if over heated.

Nice video that shows how durable the tanks are but the energy that is released when they do blow.
