Sunday’s Oscar telecast drew a record-low 26.5 million viewers, down 20% from 33 million in 2017. It's the lowest number since Nielsen began tracking the show's ratings in the mid-1970s. But the Oscars weren't the only awards show to experience a ratings dive in 2018: February's Grammy Awards on CBS dropped 24%, to 19.8 million viewers, while the Golden Globes drew 19 million on NBC in January, a 5% drop.
