Mormons & Sexual Abuse
First Presidency letter directs leaders to review, teach policies on preventing, responding to sex abuse. The First Presidency of the LDS Church released a letter Monday directing local church leaders to review revised policies and guidelines about ministering in cases of sexual abuse and to teach those policies to all priesthood and auxiliary leaders. Source 5b.
Abuse Sexual and Mormons
The provisions of this new policy allow for another adult in the room when a woman or child is being interviewed. Good move that protects both the interviewer and the interviewee.
