A car mowed down more than 30 pedestrians when it went up on the sidewalk and into the entrance of the Paris Las Vegas hotel Saturday, authorities said.

At least one person was killed and 37 others injured, Clark County Fire Chief Greg Cassell said. Of the injured, seven are in critical condition.

Authorities don't yet know whether the incident was an accident or intentional. The woman driving the car was in custody and was undergoing various tests, including one for alcohol, authorities said. Ref. CNN

The woman accused of driving her car onto a sidewalk along the Las Vegas Strip, killing one person and injuring 37 others, has been identified as 24-year-old Lakeisha N. Holloway, said Sheriff Joe Lombardo of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Prosecutors will initially file a single charge of murder with a deadly weapon against Holloway, District Attorney Steven Wolfson said. Additional charges are possible. Ref. CNN
