Rodytour Introduction

Dear Honorable members,

I am very happy to join this family and I very well believe that as from this time on my curiosity will bring back a lost smile, a satisfying passion and my emotions would be free from the VIRUS of many an unanswered questions that hunted me for the past thirty years.

The name my adoption earned me is [B]Emmanuel Abraham Kwashie Welbeck. I am forty-four years of age and a Ghanaian domiciled in Ghana. I am fair in complexion and about 1.69 meters tall.
I am an 'abandoned male child' who was adopted from the Osu Children's Home in Accra, Ghana in the late sixties and had since lived in the home of my adoptive mother who died recently, about five years ago - a fate that has thrown my emotions into an unprecedented frenzy that might be an unforgettable event in my whole life.

I went to school up to the level of Senior Secondary, taught as a Pupil teacher, enrolled as a Modular teacher in Gbeewa Training College in the Upper East region of Ghana and dropped out midstream without certification. I trained as a Travel Agent in apprenticeship and had since been battling up and down the 'hills and heckles' of living amongst the treachery of the 'African extended family system' that has a basic difficulty in accepting strangers (adopted children) easily into their fold; and if proper care is not taken, the attempt to eliminate the child stranger becomes paramount in their minds so as to block the future inheritance rights of the adopted child[this occurs in situations where the adoptive parent(s) of the child has wealth and shows true affection towards the child].

The narration of my truthful encounter as an adopted child that definitely questions the plight of most adopted children in Ghana and for that matter in Africa as a whole continues in my next and other interactions with fellow members soon.
I urge my colleague members never to miss out on my true story as it unfolds in the coming times. And the interesting current Legal battle am encountering due to inheritance under my being an adopted child in an unfriendly home(partly).
