A Border Tax?

A border tax?

In this instance, we are not referring to the governor's proposal for a 1-cent sales tax hike on California's faltering economy to bail Sacramento temporarily out of its addiction to profligate spending. We are referring instead to Schwarzenegger's suggestion that a $5 tax be imposed on U.S.-Mexico border crossers to fund infrastructure improvements at the border. It's hard to imagine a more efficient way to throttle cross-border commerce - on which the increasingly interdependent economies of California and Baja California rely - than slapping a border tax on crossers.

Tax Border A

I am one to support this tax. If they are soo gung ho about coming to America then let them pay for border improvements by taxing them as they come across each time.
