I reuse my plastic shopping bags for multiple uses. I don't believe they should ban them unless they provide an alternative method without having to pay for a different type of bag. I can understand going green, I'm all for it. Paper bags and or netted bags should be available as a replacement at no cost to the customer. Maybe even boxes?
They have banned plastic bags in Wales (Great Britain), already, and they charge if you want one. It's ridiculous especially if you are trying to do a monthly shop! You see people balancing around 20 items or so instead of paying for the bag, and England are watching I believe to see if it's viable to go the same way.
I personally think that it's ok in some circumstances, but not if you have a load of grocery shopping!
Even McDonalds have to charge for their paper bag to take out!
