75 years for videotaping police? (Video)
A citizen who videotaped on duty police - on his own private property (And later at court) is facing up to 75 years behind bars. This sparked a heated debate on radio today as Glenn believes you should have the right to tape police, but Stu isn't so sure. Ref. Source 9
Having ben a police officer in the military and working closely with law enforcement officers from all sectors of the government I believe that a citizen has every right to video tape police officers. They are video taping us more often than not so having a different angle on the video can help show things one video just may not be able to see. I use a VSS (Video Surveillance System) all the time and two views is always better than one. I hope people keep on videoing the police.
