More than 100 men accused of sexual misconduct in the 2 months since Harvey Weinstein scandal broke. If it feels like a near daily onslaught of powerful men being accused of sexual misconduct, that's because it has been. On Oct. 5, women came forward alleging decades of sexual abuse at the hands of Harvey Weinstein, once one of the most powerful men in Hollywood. In the two months since, more than 100 high-powered men have been accused of sexual misconduct, ranging from inappropriate texts to groping to rape. These are those men, from Hollywood and Washington, from Silicon Valley and New York. What is not reflected here are the many accused whose names haven't been big enough to garner national headlines -- and the many more who haven't been named at all, whose identities are only known by the women who shared #metoo. 94% of women in Hollywood questioned in a USA TODAY survey say they have experienced sexual harassment or assault during their careers. Nearly all of the women who responded to an exclusive USA TODAY survey (94%) said they have experienced some form of harassment or assault, often by an older individual in a position of power over the accuser. Worse, more than one-fifth of respondents (21%) say they have been forced to do something sexual at least once. USA TODAY worked in partnership with the Creative Coalition, Women in Film and Television and the National Sexual Violence Resource Center to survey 843 women who work in the entertainment industry in a variety of roles (Producers, actors, writers, directors, editors and others) to ask them about their experiences with sexual misconduct. Sad that these women had to give head to get ahead, but we as a society are not far from the days when women weren't even allowed to vote. Even today, many Islamic countries have women as barely better than slaves. These men (And women) who sexually assaulted women still seem to have a primitive mindset.
