Argentina had a tragic lost against Croatia in their last match so they will be looking at football redemption in this match or they will leave the World Cup having not won any games and conceded many goals against them.

A lot of blame was taken by and given to the Argentine coach, Jorge Sampaoli, for his lack of planning and direction. He promised to 'listen' to the players this time.

Meanwhile, Messi continues to be the focal point of the team but he has a lackluster attitude both on and off of the field that does not show a desire to win.

There is a lot of talk about Argentina and how they seem to not be the team in the world cup most people were hoping. I will have to go for Nigeria on this game. Final score Nigeria 3 and Argentina 2.

Well it was a nail biting match and yes this was the one I chose to watch for obvious reasons. Argentina had a slight improvement in their playing style but in my opinion lacked the kind of drive necessary to go to the final. They were also weak in defense while still playing their 'keep away' style of ball handling but making few shots on goal. Nigeria was playing very defensive and only got their goal off a controversial penalty. If Argentina is to beat Denmark (I believe) then they will need to boost up their game because in watching Denmark today they mean business.
