I, named Adal, meaning noble, not of power but of heart, known as the wanderer, roamer of the land, herein describe my own self.
Five foot and eight inches tall, but of sturdy body after years of good work on the fields. Hair black as the night, eyes otherwise colored like almonds. White skin, tanned by the sun above us all, and a rather pleasing appearance, or so I am said, make me look just like myself.
Equilibrium is vital, and so I have been a follower of swordsmen and scholars both. The martial art and the art of the underlying mechanisms of our world are both fascinating. I aim to become a wise and powerful man, knowing right from wrong at all times. A man capable of ruling.
I am to travel the world and see, fail, learn. I am to know other races, places and lives. I am to make acquaintances and friends. To grow.
The day will come to assert myself as a true noble. Carrying the weight of my experiences, I will be able to provide the people better lives. That is my destiny, but only achievable if I act.
It is time to act. I now leave towards knowledge. I will be back, stronger than ever and anyone. I will be back as a Ruler of Kings.
Advisor Description
Mia and I met in the middle of the street. This leads me to think she was looking for me. Why would a person from the nobility be looking for a humble lad as myself?
Mia cheerfully introduced herself right away, and in some way we connected. I trust her. I do not know why, but I know I should.
We conversed about the nobility and the rulers of our land, and I was struck by the impression that she strongly desires change. She says we can help eachother achieve our common goals, and I believe it to be genuine.
Her advise will be very valuable to me, although I do not know for certain what are her expectations of me. How does she know me? So many questions… But for know, I have someone to rely on, of that I am sure.
Reflections on your mother
- Reflections on my mother
A father who was a general at war, a mother who was a general at life. A true warrior.
Unconditional love was proven true to me by her, through her selflessness.
Every day she had another chore or another challenge for me, always very strictly judging my commitment and capabilities. She knew she was many times harsh, and I wonder if she felt bad about it. For I did not. I always understood there was something in me, pushing me to a glorious destiny, and she knew it too. Everything she did was on my behalf, ensuring I had the best outcome possible as a man, and I understood that too, and am thankful for it.
Many times, when a close one dies, we are left with the dreadful feeling that there were words left to say. These were mine.
Mother, I do understand.
The Beauty of Lady Fluke
When I look upon you,
And see those eyes of ocean blue,
My spirit comes anew,
That much be true.
Hair of golden wheat,
Your lips a scarlet bit,
My heart is forever lit,
In your soul's fiery pit.
So touching, so comforting,
Your presence so heartwarming,
When all is wrong and life is boring,
You know to you I am coming.
Why Am I Adal?
Free is the mind of those who wander the world knowing that the journey is the goal. A world that exists to be seen and lived by us, otherwise it would have no sense. Live, and let live, for it is life that gives purpose to this world.
