KILLERS hijacked Hafeez Maharaj on Thursday night, stabbed him repeatedly, dumped his body and then went back yesterday morning to make sure he was dead.

When they were certain they had murdered the 33-year-old PH driver, they then went on a joyride, picked up a woman who thought the car was a taxi, kidnapped her, crashed into another vehicle and were later caught in a police roadblock.

One of the killers escaped, but three, between ages 18 and 29, from the Mt Hope area, were held.

One of them confessed to murdering Maharaj and took police to where they dumped him.

Murdered Maharaj Hafeez

I just read these news and it was absolutely disturbing. Why they killed him? They could have gotten the car without murdering the poor man. The victim's wife died a couple of years ago of cancer and this man was working as a PH driver to support his two small children. He was assaulted and stabbed two month ago in the same route when some criminals stole his car.

Imagine the poor woman who was also kidnapped by these people! She was smart enough that during the incident, she was able to tell a passenger in another taxi that she was kidnapped, otherwise the story will be MUCH different.

It's truly scary to even get out to shop, you never know who you will meet!
