Voidartemis Introduction

Hello everyone.

It said that I needed to post an introduction, so here I am, introducing myself.
My username is Voidartemis, bit of a reference to a book and video game I like. While I don't really have any experience with tabletop Role-playing Games, I've always wanted to try them.... Except, real life gets in the way sometimes and I haven't found groups of people near me that are interested.
However, I do have experience with forum RP, I've been doing them for as long as I can remember.
Recently, I've stopped doing them because of some personal issues in my life, and also, not being able to find the right partner to do an RP that won't burn over in one day.
I was browsing the net for MUDs (Multi user dungeons) when I came across the page for ROK, and though it wasn't what I was originally searching for, it looked sort of interesting, so I thought-- "Why not?"
I am in dire need of stretching my roleplaying muscles, and most MUDs nowadays are either dead or the "Type kill rat to engage in combat" or "Go find me 700 kobolds for some reason" it isn't fun at all. Or, they're like certain ones (That shall remain nameless) in which to join, you have to perform mental gymnastics. When I did happen to finally figure out what was going on, I was cooped up in a tavern attempting to figure out their complex system of emoting so I didn't end up looking like an idiot. (Spoiler-- I did) Not to mention, I ended up getting killed in one day because I had no idea what I was doing… The helpfiles weren't exactly detailed, most of it was "Hey, we're just going to throw you in here and you just have to sort of.... Figure it out, yeah?"
