Wow I can’t believe Joe Biden once said he doesn’t want his kids to grow up in a “racial jungle” meaning he didn’t want his kids going to school with African American kids. I’ve never heard Trump say anything nearly that racist, if Trump ever said anything like that it would be on the front page of every newspaper every day during his entire presidency. Yet Biden gets a pass because he is liberal. What a huge double standard. I guess if liberals didn’t have double standards they’d have no standards at all.
'For God's sake, do something': President Biden urges Congress to act against ‘epidemic of gun violence’ amid spate of mass shootings. A small group of Senate Republicans and Democrats are meeting to find areas of mutual agreement, notably a bill to promote red flag laws. Stronger steps, such as an assault rifle ban or expanded background checks, are unlikely to pass Congress. Source 4p.
President Biden's approval is at a dismal 39% amid economic fears; more than 7 in 10 Americans say the country is on 'wrong track': USA TODAY/Suffolk poll. Ahead of the November midterm elections where control of Congress is at stake, the USA TODAY/Suffolk poll showed that a stunning 47% "Strongly" disapprove, while just 16% "Strongly" approve. Academic studies have shown that presidential approval is one of the most reliable predictors of what happens in midterm elections, and a rating this low would traditionally signal significant losses for the president's party. President Biden backs change to Senate's filibuster rules to codify abortion and privacy rights into law. Biden called last week's Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade and removing abortion as a federal right "Outrageous" and "Destabilizing" and said Congress must now write the case into law. Source 4q.
President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID and is experiencing 'very mild symptoms'. The White House said Thursday morning that Biden, who is vaccinated and boosted, tested positive and is receiving Paxlovid as treatment for COVID-19. He "Will isolate at the White House and will continue to carry out all of his duties fully during that time," press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement Thursday morning. Source 4g.
While I am glad that Biden is doing more then it at first appeared when he originally spoke out against the Supreme Court overturning Roe vs Wade, it still frustrated and angered that he originally said simply to "Go out and vote", before later making an executive order to show a stronger use of the presidential power he possesses.
He has the ability to use his executive powers to reinstate medical privacy and a woman's right to abortion as an emergency order, more then he has. Even expanding the judicial seats or even disband the Supreme Court, as they had lied that they wouldn't mess with Roe vs Wade and agreeing it was established law, and setting up temporary appointments to replace them.
The 'going out to vote' message he originally offered fell short because, even if we do go out and vote and we get more Democrats, it would have still be 6 months before any change can really be done.
So while I feel that Republicans are still worse, Democrats have show that they are complacent by more often then not simply throwing up their hands and not actually fighting back. Biden needs to fight harder, have more of a backbone. He is doing better in fighting, but could still do far more.

Biden tests positive for COVID-19 again, but shows no symptoms as he rebounds from virus. After testing negative four days in a row, President Joe Biden tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday in what his doctor described as a “rebound” positivity from the drug used to treat the virus. Source 2v.
