My name is Galvyn the Veteran. I have learned to fight under the tutelage of Old Javon, the commander of my father's guards.
I am five foot ten inches tall and in good physical condition. My hair is black, and my eyes grey. I've been told that I have a charming smile.
I have always been interested in warfare and it's wall of death, which comes for all men, at one time or another, whether they want it or not.
Some say I am destined to become a leader, but I seriously doubt that this will come to be. I believe strongly that life as a way of ruining the most intricate plans, even the ones laid out by the most intelligent person.
Consequently, I have decided to explore who I truly am, and to be open to where life will take me, for she is a torrent full of surprises. If I do become a leader of men, it will be in accordance with the flow of things, not against them. Such is my way.
Advisor Description
Captain Javon was the leader of my father's guards. He is tall and thin, but though and quick. His hair his grey and his eyes blue like a desert sky. He has seen many battles and fought in many wars. He trained me and thought me a lot about tactics and strategy. His humor is witty but he can be a severe man. When he realized that I wanted to go as far as my destiny would take me, Captain Javon offered to be my guide. I was honored and accepted right away.
I came to know Captain Javon better after that. It turns out that he has a softer side. When he's not training or fighting, the good Captain is gardening. He loves plants, and knows a lot about trees. He can also recognized many birds by their chants alone. I find him more and more interesting and hope that he will remain close to me as my mentor.
I do think he believes me a bit naive about undertaking a life of adventures, I just hope I will not disappoint him. I certainly plan to follow his recommandations. Must of them anyway…
While exploring a labyrinth in an almost complete darkness, I heard a noise from above. I foolishly decided to climb and unfortunately fell from very high and broke my right leg. The pain was awful. I was barely able to go back out of the maze. I had to crawl the whole way. It will heal however, but not completely the healer said. I should be able to walk around and work as a clerk, but I will have to forego adventuring. I will remain therefore a simple man living is little quiet life in this big Town. I will go to the tavern in order to hear the tales of the heroes who try to become the Ruler of Kings. As for me, that quest is over.
