It is always sad to see a young persons life cut short but I am not sure that the DUI will stick or be a major factor in this case. I think the driver of the Uber vehicle should be charged as that was the big contributing factor. The sanitation driver probably did not see her until she came around that car.
It is indeed very sad, to see such a tragic loss of life in this instance. The uber driver may have contributed to the accident by being negligent, in where the vehicle was parked.
But no excuse for drinking and driving, who knows if the chicken sandwich absorbed the alcohol in time.
It is always a prudent move to not drink then drive, in any case.
