I have been using this for the past day and I must say it is almost exact in its features as compared to Netscape Composer 7.2 and this make me happy because it is able to sort, filter and arrange my mail automatically. Thunderbird was also able to import previous EMail and settings from Composer. This is a great product.
Thunderbird is the best email client around! I love the way it integrates with Firefox and imported all my Outlook mail including PST files and archive files. It is so easy to use that I should be able to get my wife to use it soon also. The other thing I noticed was that it doesn't take up nearly as many resources as Outlook does.

Thunderbird Not Sending Spam Mail To Spam Folder
If you run into the position where Thunderbird does not seem to be sending junk mail you have marked as spam to the Spam folder then try clearing your current filter settings and start fresh. Sometimes this happens with updates to the Thunderbird client software.
Tools --> Junk Mail Controls --> Adaptive Filter (Tab) --> Reset Training Data
Each time they release Thunderbird its like they forget to add back in basic features! The latest release, Thunderbird 60, is a good example of poor feature options. Yes, it loads fast but I do not even have a minimize to tray option so I often end up closing the program. Get it right Mozilla!
