Comic-Con wins $4M in legal fees in trademark battle with Salt Lake City. To me this was always a California thing and not a Salt Lake thing. When they started the Utah Comic Con I actually thought it was an off shoot until both of them had events at the same time then I realized they were in competition with each other.
Who really cares what one is better? Having two Comic cons to go to the people who wish to go to one or the other has a choice and can go to the one they wish. The fact that they are competition to each other should not make that much of a difference as sometimes competition is good for business. Suing a competitor is not the way to go I feel as it is cheap money and makes you look bad by saying you can not handle competition so you must make them pay you.
