Movement control: how our brain responds to unexpected situations. Scientists have demonstrated that the motor cortex is necessary for the execution of corrective movements in response to unexpected changes of sensory input but not when the same movements are executed spontaneously. Signatures of differential neuronal usage in the cortex accompany these two phenomena. Source 2r.
Reacting to unexpected situations is something that I have trained for for many years. I am one who looks around a lot and watches or tries to watch everything looking for something that is out of place or not quite right. Knowing how to react in an unexpected situation can mean life or death for some people. I want to be prepared and training on how you will react allows your body to take control faster than most others thus helping other to survive as well as yourself.
