Honesty is the best policy.

I think in a case like this Quasar, that would be like walking into a bank and robbing it and when asked why? You say, "Because I needed the money." It may be true but it is still wrong! Besides revenge isn't something God wants you to be giving out anyway! wink.gif

Just curious if you were the one who tested it because by your comments to JB it seems your brain is a little fried! Settle down friend, you can give a reply without so much sarcasm. If it didn't have any, then we would wonder who wrote it (Smile) BUT it really is not a game, it's a discussion.

And NO you cannot give me a negative charm! *wink*

Introduction Quasar

QUOTE (Quasar)
It probably has more to do with who that someone was huh?

That is a good argument for a newbie. but those who know me here know when it comes to this Forum I am no respecter of persons, friend, foe, pontiff or whatever you and I have to keep the rules and polices. However, if I must...

QUOTE (From FAQ)
Q. Why would I vote negatively?
A. The user posts a message completely offtopic, is rude, is not making sense, is disobeying the forum rules or you simply do not like the 'tone' of the person's message. However, since your vote is recorded you must make sure you are not using the Charisma points as a 'revenge' tool. Admin can reset your own Charisma at anytime!
Ref. Source 5

Funny thing, in that same policy line it points out the powers of Admin with regards to Charisma.

Quasar, have you ever considered why we happen to have so many policies that seem to target what a person might do? It is because someone has already done it! There was someone on here at some point using the Charm tool to give out vengeful Charisma. Sorry, but you are not the first, not sure if that is a disappointment for you, but we have had that before and probably others that you may think of, so give up now. Just participate in good Discussion rather than fight and play with people's views as you did with Bob. Yes I was reading, most times I see all.

QUOTE

The Art of Discussion is the best policy. Have you looked over that Thread? It is in the Welcome Board. You can be funny, but you overdo sometimes. Likability in Discussion comes from points of Discussion not punch lines. The thing is you and I both know that you are so much better than that and the acting gown you put on is too cheesy and has got to go and let the inner you come out friend.

Now don't get all angry native islander on me.

Angry? I'm not angry, and I do not see what me being an RM, Elder or Superman has to do with anything. I did not think you were this babyish to pout for being called out, I thought you were more of marine quality, but I must have been mistaken with nambi pambi?

Will the tire insulate it from the ground? 12 volts likely till the tire gets wet!

It could short but given the time span you should be ok just make sure the power supply is not too heavily fused. A quick blow in line auto fuse is a cheap solution to that. Say 5 amp.. doggy get nastey nip and if urine flow is already heavy the inline fuse protect the house panel and power supply.

Be sure to remove or unplug in the rain though.

Is this a good use of a college education or what? Safety first!

You are funny and I got your point. Look, it was not done in the spirit of being malicious.

BUT it really is not a game, it's a discussion.

Yes, yes I understand.

And I tested it 3 times with gloves on. The only problem with it is that it is timing based with a surge every 5 seconds. I don't know if I want to use it unless I can lower the voltage on it considerably. It went straight through the gloves and gave a really good jolt. I had thick rubber shoes on too. The dog will not have the luxury of footed insulation and urine is a good conductor and the genitalia is sensitive so I will have to find another source. Not to mention the fact that this thing is made for 100s maybe thousand of feet of wiring. It is simply to many electrons for this application. My hand is still a little jumpy. I just need a slight electrical current. Can't think of anything slight enough not to cause serious pain or injury.

I will probalby have to scrap the whole Idea.

Introduction Quasar

Ye of little faith!

Make a series circuit by place a variable resistor in series with the tires. Then you turn the (volume switch) or variable resistor up or down to control the voltage out put. Just make sure it can handle the output of the power supply (match up the output wattage to the wattage rating on the resistor along with the voltage ratings.)

Quasar Introduction

I am just wondering if the jolt may be to much.

Good Idea with the inline fuse... I have got a car inline fuse.

Who would have thunk something like this would be this complicated.

?Would a housing dimmer switch work do you think?

Might it is rated for a light though low amps. What is the pulse in amps of the power supply? One way is to hook it in and see if it gets hot.

What you see is what you get. Never been accused of having a cheesy personality. Egotistical, annoying, aggressive, fake, a-hole and maybe a few more things. Perhaps you see something I don't. Explain it if you don't mind.

Everyone needs to say what they think. I have insulted enough people on here. Ldsf say what you think too. Everyone should let it all out.

I promise I wont return it with a smart answer or be negative in my response. I will take some consideration towards constructive criticism. I may not agree but that is alright.
