Amonhi my friend, I think you are going to disagree with me on most of my points but that's cool.
My premises are
There will alway be a laws that must be followed.
God is God because he follows certain laws.
We can only enter the Celestial Kingdom if we follow certain Laws
The following scriptures lead me to this conclusion.
QUOTE |
D&C 132:6 And as pertaining to the new and everlasting covenant, it was instituted for the fulness of my glory; and he that receiveth a fulness thereof must and shall abide the law, or he shall be damned, saith the Lord God. |
QUOTE |
12 I am the Lord thy God; and I give unto you this commandment-that no man shall come unto the Father but by me or by my word, which is my law, saith the Lord. |
QUOTE |
D&C 88: 13, 78 13 The light which is in all things, which giveth life to all things, which is the law by which all things are governed, even the power of God who sitteth upon his throne, who is in the bosom of eternity, who is in the midst of all things. |
QUOTE |
2 Nephi 2:13 And if ye shall say there is no law, ye shall also say there is no sin. If ye shall say there is no sin, ye shall also say there is no righteousness. And if there be no righteousness there be no happiness. And if there be no righteousness nor happiness there be no punishment nor misery. And if these things are not there is no God. And if there is no God we are not, neither the earth; for there could have been no creation of things, neither to act nor to be acted upon; wherefore, all things must have vanished away. |
QUOTE |
D&C 130: 21 21 And when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated. |
Excellent Post! I am not saying there is NO law in the end, I am saying that when we are like God, the law is written in our hearts and cannot be written on stone.
QUOTE |
Ps. 37: 31 31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. |
QUOTE |
16 Now, repentance could not come unto men except there were a punishment, which also was eternal as the life of the soul should be, affixed opposite to the plan of happiness, which was as eternal also as the life of the soul. - Alma 42:16 |
QUOTE |
D&C 93: 30 30 All truth is independent in that sphere in which God has placed it, to act for itself, as all intelligence also; otherwise there is no existence. |
QUOTE |
39 All beings who abide not in those conditions are not justified. 40 For intelligence cleaveth unto intelligence; wisdom receiveth wisdom; truth embraceth truth; virtue loveth virtue; light cleaveth unto light; mercy hath compassion on mercy and claimeth her own; justice continueth its course and claimeth its own; judgment goeth before the face of him who sitteth upon the throne and governeth and executeth all things. D&C 88:39-40 |
QUOTE |
D&C 88: 21-24, 36 21 And they who are not sanctified through the law which I have given unto you, even the law of Christ, must inherit another kingdom, even that of a terrestrial kingdom, or that of a telestial kingdom. 22 For he who is not able to abide the law of a celestial kingdom cannot abide a celestial glory. 23 And he who cannot abide the law of a terrestrial kingdom cannot abide a terrestrial glory. 24 And he who cannot abide the law of a telestial kingdom cannot abide a telestial glory; therefore he is not meet for a kingdom of glory. Therefore he must abide a kingdom which is not a kingdom of glory. "¢ "¢ "¢ 36 All kingdoms have a law given; |
