Merging & Moving Boards

Going with the KISS principle we are going to be merging or moving Boards that could be better utilized or understood with other Boards / Categories so there aren't a dozen different places to have a Discussion. Doing this will take some time as there are scripts that dive into special sections base on the Board they are in, however we will update the mergers here as we go along.

To start, we have merged the following:

Doctrina Santo de Los Ultimos Dias >> Mormon Doctrine Studies.

In this update several Boards were merged together into one. They also have the new Board Menu which will also be enhanced and made more compact as time goes on.

The "Actors, Movies, Celebrities & TV" is now "Movies, Music, Fashion & Sports"

Merging & Moving Boards

The Board "Science, UFO, Zoology, & Horticulture" is now "Sciences, Education, Art, Writing & UFO".

The following Boards were merged:

Jobs, Careers & Education, Books, Poems, Novels, & Writers, International Art & Sculpture >> Science, UFO, Zoology, & Horticulture

Transportation, Parenting, Genealogy, Cooking, Consumer Reviews >> Culture, Family, Travel, & Consumer Reviews

Health, Diet & Medical News >> Psychology, Special Needs & Health

I have also gotten rid of all the different Categories so there is only three specific Categories now:

Community - Intros, Gallery, etc.

Discuss - All the Boards with various Topics. Upgraded Member Boards can also be found here just not visible to those who do not have the permission

RPGs - All the Role-playing Games.

This is more or less the major merger and change, however there is still more to do but that will come over time.

Merging & Moving Boards

Today, I looked at Merging some more Boards but reached a break because there will be conflicts / too much extra work in sorting the Threads. For example breaking up the Comic / Anime Board and sending the relevant Threads to the Entertainment section and the Super Hero Role-playing Game elsewhere. I may revisit this during the new year.

There were many Hidden Boards that were used to facilitate other sites but that would only affect the Post count of Members related to them and not public Topics.

I was able to complete the Board Options for the rest of Boards as well as make everything lighter when in Board view.
