What I don't understand about this case is the lack of involvement of the neighbors, so they knew one of the victims was hit by the killer and they didn't call the police?
QUOTE A man allegedly fatally shot his elderly father and stepmother in their Deer Park home Friday night, authorities said. Steven Luther Fontes, 55, was charged with capital murder in the killing of his 88-year-old father and 78-year-old stepmother, authorities said. Fontes is being held in Harris County Jail without bail. He's scheduled to appear in court Monday. Police received a call around 9:25 p.m. From Fontes, who told authorities he had just shot his parents in their home in the 800 block of East X, said Deer Park Police Department Investigations Lt. Wade Connor. Fontes gave himself up at the home without incident, Connor said. Neighbors and friends identified the victims as Alfred and Shirley Fontes. Case Murder Fontes Shirley and Alfred
These elderly people served their country great. They were both in the air force and reached the rank of colonel. The father was even a POW and yet in their old age they were killed by their own blood. Terrible.
