This is one of the reasons I do not like the use of firearms to "celebrate". This guy thought that by shooting some old trash cans it would be "safer" than shoot to the air, he did not know a kid was hiding behind that old trash can.

I think if you look at a lot of the shooting of guns you are going to find that a vast majority of them occur in poor neighborhoods. I do not think this is just something that happens in predominately black neighborhoods. I think trying to place this label on predominately black neighborhoods is just wrong.
It isn't just wrong it's racist. This insinuates that gun violence is mainly among black people. This is wrong and African Americans should be up in arms about this but they aren't. I think the reason they aren't is because this is a Democrat narrative that the anti-gun establishment is selling and African Americans are keeping mum rather than complaining because they vote 90%+ Democrat.
Florida House passes gun control legislation including 3-day waiting period on most gun purchases and program to arm some teachers. In a 67-50 vote Wednesday, the Florida House sent the measure to Gov. Rick Scott three weeks after 17 were slain at a Parkland high school. The legislation also raises the minimum age to 21 to purchase a gun and gives police more authority to confiscate weapons. The shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School was Florida's third mass shooting since June 2016. Ref. USAToday.
NRA files suit after Florida governor signs compromise gun, school safety bill. Florida Gov. Rick Scott signed a far-reaching school-safety bill Friday that places new restrictions on guns, cementing his state's break with the National Rifle Association and decades of Republican thinking on gun control in the aftermath of the Parkland high school attack.
