All of this clearly shouldn't have happened at all, where are the parents or guardians? According to some other articles I've read they claim they did everything they could but I'm pretty sure the children gave off some signs of possible violence before they decide to take the action for themselves.
Even if they went to juvenile detention centers, sometimes there are situations whereby no matter what if the person doesn't want to be helped; you can't help the unwilling and they continue wanting to commit crimes anyway.
