'Star Wars' characters' costumes reflect shift from power to romance. Changes in costume in the female leads -- Padmé and Leia -- in 'Star Wars' Episodes I through VI parallel shifts in the characters' positions of power, a new study suggests. Source 7p.

Sometimes in certain movies they would have the same 'issue' brought up on sexualization of women. I do get that with some scenes trying to portray attraction of these actresses or characters, but at the same time I do believe that it's possible to produce the same 'effect' but not using semi-nudity or similar.
