Chicago elects Lori Lightfoot as first black female mayor in city’s 182-year history. The Windy City on Tuesday became the largest city to elect an African American woman as mayor. Lightfoot's victory also means Chicago is the biggest U.S. City to pick an openly gay mayor. Source 3h

I guess that'll bring about a lot of change for the United States and to how the public perceives certain people. I do think that even though this may be a good change it can cause some conflict with others who are against what she represents in the future.
