Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh resigns amid widening scandal over using her position to sell her own children's books. Pugh resigned under pressure Thursday after revelations that she made more than $500,000 selling her children’s book series to entities that do business with the city. “I am sorry for the harm that I have caused to the image of the city of Baltimore and the credibility of the office of the mayor,” Pugh said a written statement. She shouldn't be making the deal in the first place if she know perfectly that the important job as the mayor is on her hands! At least she took responsibility and stepped down and hopefully the public would move on when a new mayor arises.

Why do people use their status in life to get money when they know (Or perhaps they don't) they'll be found out eventually. When you're in a political position you're also more of a target for someone who wants to see you fall so playing by the rules is very important. Its good that she was woman enough to resign.
