Peter Mayhew

Peter Mayhew, the original Chewbacca, has died, according to his agent. Mayhew died on April 30 in North Texas where he lived. Mayhew played Chewbacca in the original "Star Wars" trilogy, episode 3 of the prequels, and the new trilogy, according to a statement from his family. Ref. CNN.

He is definitely an icon for the Star Wars series since he pulled off his role as Chewbacca pretty well! Peter died at 74 years old, he at least lived for a good long while until now. May he rest in peace.
