Amrynth retrieves his bow and takes cover behind the wagon and readies his short bow. He keeps his sword beside him leaning against the wagon (but not in the wagon as the horse may get spooked in the fray and take off on them). The rest of his gear is in the rocks away from him.
Wander is asked by Amrynth to Hide Daphne from the up coming foray.
Kalfie Grabs his two handed sword and Joins Amrynth. Bow at ready and his sword leaning near by for easy retrieval.
If the wagon become unavailable for protection Amrynth knows the next best position and they two will take that as long as they have room to fight.
Thomas and Crusher try to prepare for a rear attack on the group if they can manage it.
Amrynth, hefts up his sword and leaps into the wagon, dropping his bow near his feet (within the wagon) seeing that he will not have time to notch an arrow before the melee will begin.
"Have at thee, ye motherless dogs!" he defiantly screams and awaits the onslaught.
Kalfie like wise places his bow safely aside but not in wagon and uses his two handed sword. Preferring solid footing he stays behind the wagon to battle. Loudly he curses and asks the gods to protect them all.
Daphne seeing her team in need enters the battle. (if she is far enough back she will use bow on the riders other wise it is hand to hand.)
Feeling the arrow ricochet off his armour, Amrynth says a silent prayer of thanks. He is now aware that the bandits are archers, but even though he is more of a target on the wagon he will not give up his advantage over the wolves.
Amrynth will continue to help Kalfie by hacking down at the wolves but should a bandit ride within striking range he will turn his attack on them.
Kalfie redoubles his efforts and hope he can soon get his hands on those bandits.
Daphne bravely fights on and stats swinging her sword.
With the bandits now staying back Wanderer and Daphne will take up her bow to shoot the bandits.
Amrynth growls as an arrow bites into his back, he can feel the warm sticky sensation of blood beneath his armour but there is little time to further consider the extent of the damage.
Without turning, Amrynth takes up his bow and instinctively leaps behind the cover of the wagon aside the fallen Kalfie. Staying low, he notches an arrow and quickly looks over Kalfie in an attempt to quickly discern the extent of his damage, all the while trying to ignore his own.
"Kalfie, are ye alive man?"
He awaits a response but seeing none he raises his bow and engages the bandits too.
Meanwhile Thomas and Crusher continue to head to the wagon area. Are they able to hear any fighting ahead? Since they heard the bandits ride past they will be alert and ready for them to be coming back.
Crusher and Thomas continue to walk towards the wagon area. They will be ready for bandits to come their way as they heard them leave on their descent from the lookout spot. Thomas will have his bow out and a arrow notched. Crusher has his sword out.
At the wagon Amrnth, Daphne and Wanderer bind the wounds on Kalfie before binding the wounds on Daphne and Amrynth. They will use their herbs for wounds. Once they place Kalfie carefully in the wagon Amrynth and wanderer will see if they can gather some of the wandering horses. Daphne will go and check the fallen bandits for weapons, coins and armour. IF any are still alive she will tie them up and wait for the return of the others.
With Kalfie loaded on the wagon and the horses gathered Amrynth starts to drive the wagon towards the village. In the wagon are Daphne and Crusher. Thomas will search the bandits for any weapons and gold. He will place any findings on Kalfie's horse and ride to catch up with the wagon. Wanderer will stay with Thomas as he searches the bodies in case more bandits decide to show up.
As stated above when he finishes his search he rides Kalfie's horse and along with Wanderer they ride to catch the wagon.
Since our wagon was at L9 we will head north and west back the way scout had shown us or as close to it as we can get. Since it was just this past afternoon the route should be fresh in our mind.
