Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed for helping end 20-year stalemate with Eritrea. Nobel Committee announced Abiy Ahmed, who clinched a peace deal last year that ended 20 years of a military stalemate between his country and its northern neighbor, Eritrea, won the honor "For his efforts to achieve peace and international cooperation."
