I seldom miss flies in the house. Funny they say the sense the hit coming but not how. I think it is more ten visual I think there is many factors built in. Also use perforated surface to swat with or the fly just gets blown out from in front of you swatter.

I do not buy into that either. I can swat a fly with my bare hands or a swatter with little or no miss. People are surprised on how easily that I can do this. It is funny to watch my kids try to imitate my mad skills.

Man the hours we used to spend catching flies by hand shake the poor blighters them let them go. I am not sure if we ever figured out if they got dizzy or not.

I used to catch them and pull off their wings. I would then place them in a corral that I built and them move them or herd them from one corral to another.

Now I just think of them as a pest and kill them when they get on my nerves.
