Eliud Kipchoge broke the marathon speed record on the 16 Oct, 2019 by completing a marathon in under two hours at 1:59:40.2. That is an amazing feat. I learned that he grew up running because it was the only way he could get to school and back. Now to put that in perspective… this means his average mile was run at the speed of 4:38.4 minutes!
