Well, I gave that some thought because that wasn't my original point. So I took a few minutes to squander some thoughts. This is what I have came up with thus far pertaining to your question JD: For a while there, a lot of publicity was going around about Obama. This is because of his background that most of the more immature Republicans enjoyed taking out of context. After all of that, there was so much going on in the news about Obama that no one really seemed to care about McCain. But, after Sarah Palin was selected as his vice president, both parties begun fighting over the publicity card. This has made it seem that the election is now fair. Now this may not be true, it is just my personal opinion of what was happening. Now as for what you asked.

so your main argument is that Palin would have a better chance with the Democratic party |
I've grown to like her believe it or not. I want to see her become Vice President or even President. It will change everyone's thoughts about women. I think most men are jealous of women like Sarah Palin.

Max Blumenthal on Sarah Palin's Radical Right-Wing Pals and Her Ties to the Pro-Secessionist Alaskan Independence Party
As the McCain campaign continues to focus on Senator Obama's alleged ties to former Weather Underground member William Ayers, a new investigation in Salon.com sheds light on how Governor Palin's ties to the radical right are far deeper than previously thought. Journalists Max Blumenthal and David Neiwert detail how Palin was elected Mayor of Wasilla over a decade ago with the help of activists from the Alaska Independence Party and the John Birch Society. They allege that she tried to return the favor later by attempting to appoint one of them to an empty city council seat.
