Today, my encounter with a Cat ended with me slaying the Cat.
A Woodsman was one of the enemies that I laid low this day.

Worship of Nameless
Oh mighty Nameless One. I, your humble servant, wish for nothing from thee but to learn of thee. I have made mistakes in my life, and I am not a smart man. And learning of you will surely make me a wiser man. May you walk the heavens with good fortune by your side.
Mysterious Person at the Tavern
The stranger had chosen their seating position well. They sat in a corner with their view encompassing the entrance, the surrounding patrons, and the staff access to the kitchens nearby. They were far enough from both doors to be able to access either if the other were blocked. There was no candle on the table to highlight their face, or ruin their night vision, a candle and an oil lamp mounted on either side of the corner behind them served to further draw their face in darkness from afar. Gustavus took this in as he approached the table and sat, his apprehension held at bay by the relaxed nature in the figure before him, and the familiarity with the regular patrons behind.
"Thoust wouldst speaketh with me? " enquired Gustavus, unsure as to the title of respect to bestow upon the androdynous figure.
"What have you done with your life, Gustavus?" the disappointment clear. "You have aged dramatically since I last clapped eyes upon you; the Lady's Goddess I am sure."
Gustavus racked his memories, but could not recall this character at all.
"I check on you from time to time, but it is clear you will mever amount to what you are destined to be, so I leave you with this advice: thee be a good man, and continue as such, as with that you will at least bring joy to this world, and be rewarded in the hereafter."
Gustavus could almost have glimpsed gleaming eyes and full lips in the darkness, but could not be sure as to who or what was behind it.
"What was your purpose in beckoning me?"
"It matters not now. Go, I will be in these parts in the future, and will see you again, so remain true to what is right until we next meet."
The stranger stood, and was gone through the serving door before Gustavus could move. Mystery followed whenever thoughts of the Stranger crossed hus thoughts.
Let me telleth thee the story of how I killed a Black Bear. The Black Bear attacked and with my skills I killed it. That was the end of the Black Bear. Like my story?
