PrestaShop 1.4.11
Prestashop's latest Newsletter says that they released PrestaShop 1.4.11 which will be the last update of the 1.4 version but at the same time they say:
QUOTE We recommend all shops using PrestaShop 1.4.x to migrate to this version for enhanced stability and performance. This will also make it easier for shops to upgrade to newer versions of PrestaShop in the future. Don't hesitate, update your PrestaShop store to 1.4.11 today!
However wouldn't it not make sense to just encourage everyone to go to 1.5.x since the longer they stay with 1.4.x and modify it the harder the transition will be no matter how 'easy' they say it will be?

PrestaShop Security Release
In light of a security issue we have been made aware of, today we are releasing several options to secure a store for our users and partners:
• New versions of PrestaShop 1.4.x and 1.5.x. Version 1.6.1.0 is safe.
• Patch files for the latest versions of each branch - 1.4.11.0, 1.5.6.2, and 1.6.0.14.
• The Security Patch module, which applies the above patch files in a much more user-friendly way.
• Zip files of the changed files for the 1.4, 1.5, and 1.6 branches. Ref. Source 3g
