DC is known to be dark with its characters and Joker keeps it real. You're almost brought to the point of feeling true pity for Joker as a person but then you just realize he is simply mentally ill and can't cope with anything around him without medication. The whole build up of the character was sad but it leaves you better understanding why the Joker is the way he is as a villain.
