Elder the Mage

My name is Elder, and you could say I'm a mage. Not by practice, but rather by heritage. Both of my parents were human, my dad a soldier, my mother a sorcerer.
I stand around 5'10" with a pretty athletic build. I have blonde hair, with sunkissed skin and light brown eyes. My overall silhouette invites people to think me golden. Not a bad first impression if you ask me.
I'd like to think I take after my parents, seeing I have the physical prowess of my dad and the arcane connection given to me by mom. I can use these skills to make a name for myself in the mercenary business. Who knows… After I gain some recognition and fame, I might just use it to ascend to the throne.

I had the strangest (And possibly most terrifying) morning today. I was walking towards town, the sun had just started to rise, when a group of five or six men ambushed me and dragged me into the trees! I was kicking and yelling but I feared no one heard me so I just started to beg these guys to let me go. I know… not the most brave thing but I was scared! I couldn't take all these men! They dragged me a ways before tossing me onto the floor in this small clearing and walking away. I scrambled to my feet and was met by this rather handsome fellow who emerged from the shadows. "Ah Elder! Sorry about the cloak and dagger, and I told them to be gentle but at least they followed orders… Anyhow, I need to speak to you." He continued on and explained that my father had asked him to watch over me in his absence and to guide me to manhood the proper way. Felt kind of strange conversing with this "Archer". Almost like I was talking to my dad through him. I admired him though, for keeping his word to my dad, but also for seeming like he wanted to help me. He gave me some advice on how to get started, and said to contact him should I need any more. And just like that he was gone.
