According to TV6 News shown yesterday, there is a huge increase of visitors from Venezuela mostly coming to get items that cannot be purchased in Venezuela due to the economic problems there. Acting PM Colm Imbert said immigration has everything under control since of the 14,000 Venezuelans that have come to T&T only 43 are unaccounted for and they are being sought. What are your thoughts, is there something to worry about with all the Venezuelans coming to T&T?
Just the other night in a Sangre Grande bar the police get a tip off and find 5 women from Venezuela and one from Santo Domingo dancing suggestively in a bar at 1am in the morning. We money big for them so they coming here to do 'work'.
The story of how an over crowded boat full of migrants turned over in Venezuelan waters while trying to reach Trinidad reminds me of the news we read not too long ago of Syrians trying to go to Europe. The times have changed so much. Who could predict this outcome between our two countries and the tragic direction we both are facing. Source 6x.
What is sad is seeing some Trinis on social media saying they are glad this happened because they don't want more Venezuelans here. That's just stupid. No matter how you feel about the politics you can't be glad someone lost their lives trying to make things better for themselves, that's just evil!
Yeah West, those people mad to be saying those things. Next thing you know we in the same situation and need help from another country. People just don't think about the dotishness they say.
