As You Grow Old...

Most humans consider their old age as something dread unless they have prepared for it, however, no matter how much you prepare there is always something in the back of your mind that you know you can do without, which one is it from the above list?

Definitely losing my memory! I have seen how some of our dear ones lose the ability to think and remember even their closest loved ones. How tragic! I'll take lost hair and sagging skin any day, as long as I can behold the face of my family and know who they are.

You can call me vain, but wrinckles was my answer. I think when they will start to show, I will be extremely concious about it. sad.gif

I am with LDS about the wrinkles. I really dread them. I have some already and I don't like it at all. However, the memory loss is a worse concern. Already, I can see that my memory isn't as good as it was when I was younger. It really isn't a good thing at all. Losing my mind is much worse than losing my looks. :-)

Well of course Tena smile.gif but hey! I saw your picture and I didn't see no wrinckles! and I'm serious! you look gorgeous. Anyhow, I agree memory loss is something that I'm also scared about, not to mention to reach old age and be telling stories over and over and over and everybody is tired to hear them....sad.gif oh gosh....

As You Grow Old...

My grandma lived at a retirement home, and it was really sad to me to go in and see the older people waiting for the mail every day. That was the highlight of their day, because they didn't have regular visitors. The same with my other grandma. She just loves someone to come over and sit and talk to her. I always feel bad when I have to do, because I know she gets bored and lonely being home alone all the time. I would have to say lonliness is the thing I fear most. Sometimes when you get old and your family has lives of their own, you kind of get forgotten about.

I would have to agree with Farseer and say losing memory. I feel so sorry for people who have elder parents or grandparents who they share so many memories with and who now cannot even remember who they are. I am not so concerned about my physical appearance as I get older, but health issues do worry me.

I shall have to call you vain! wink.gif Well, think about it this way - If you lose your memory, you won't remember how you looked when you were young laugh.gif

Yeah, I would chose memory loss, too, for the same reasons of Malexander and Farseer.
