Why humans find faulty robots more likeable. Researchers have examined how people react to robots that exhibit faulty behavior compared to perfectly performing robots. More Robots Faulty Humans

This does not surprise me at all. Since people are faulty they would be more comfortable with a faulty robot than a perfect machine. This way they feel that if it is not perfect and can make mistakes it is more trustworthy as humans can make mistakes and then over come them.
