Hypersensitivity and Autism

It's already known that many of those who are under the Autism spectrum would have sensory related issues - anything they receive through their senses are automatically amplified. Perhaps maybe the information of the senses (E.g sound) doesn't physically change when the Autistic person receives it, but their minds processes it a lot more powerfully than the neurotypicals?
