I am not sure why my father chose the name Janessa for me. It surely is not related to his own given name of Raymond. It could be closely related to my mother's name, Melissa. Unfortunately, he never told me anything about it. Maybe it is one of the things I will find out here in the Town? My parents only came to the Town when they needed goods and services they did not have on the farm.
I have just reached my sixteenth year. My father just passed away a few weeks ago from general sickness, while my mother was taken violently just before in a house fire. Before this, though, my father taught me some alchemy while my mother made sure that my studies were my main focus. I am very interested in learning more about alchemy, so I have taken the title of Alchemist.
I am an average human female, around 5'3 with gray eyes and dark hair, and a body that comes with working in the laboratory with my father and studying in the kitchen with my mother. I will say I helped on the farm, as well, but my strength could use a bit of work, I suppose.
I see myself as a scientist, working with elements to make different elements. I also am interested in medicinal skills on a personal level, as it could be incredibly useful in traveling and such. I also intend to build some form of relationship with the merchants of the Town and hopefully beyond. We shall see how this works out.
My builders have completed meh wooden abode so that I, Janessa will abide there.
Advisor Description
When I came to the Town, I headed toward the tavern, as I knew that would be the place to get a place to sleep and eat. It was easy to see who was the favorite as soon as I entered. Maggie came to me, apparently recognized my name, and immediately brought me up the stairs to the hallway of rooms to be rented. We found a quiet spot and she pulled a letter out of a pocket on her dress.
"This is from your mother and father."
I read it quickly.
Our Lovely Janessa,
If this finds you, we are not with you anymore. Firstly, know there is nothing you could have done to prevent this. Some things we just have no control over. Secondly, if you need anything, Maggie is the person to go to. We both have known her since before you were born, and we have asked her to advise you in anything you may need to achieve your destiny.
Remember, we love you.
"They have never mentioned you?" I asked, still emotional over the letter. She sighed and took my hands in hers. We spoke for a moment longer, and I left with a new friend.

Most handsome gentleman of Janessa
I was distracted by his short, sandy hair. His muscular body showed he was probably a soldier, but he did not have on any related armor or symbols. He was casually leaning against a table in the tavern, and he caught my eye as I walked by. I felt my heart quicken and he bowed his head ever so slightly. I looked at Maggie at another table, who was trying to keep from laughing at me. I rushed out, but couldn't help but glance over my shoulder to get one last look at the man.
